Pharmacy Assistant
Diploma (40 weeks)
This program is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a Pharmacy Assistant. The Pharmacy Assistant works directly with the Pharmacist. The Pharmacy Assistant is primarily responsible for customer service, receiving prescriptions, the filling of prescriptions and drug preparation, clerical duties and inventory administration.
Pharmacy Assistants work alongside pharmacy technicians in hospital and community settings.
The diploma will develop:
Students will be given tests for each group of courses mentioned above. Students are required to obtain a score of at least 70% in each course with an overall average of 75% in order to graduate.
There are comprehensive projects, exercises and homework to guarantee that each student understands the given material.
After successful completion of the program, a Diploma certified from Windsor Career College will be granted.
This program is approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.
This program is covered in eleven months (40 weeks) based on twenty-five hours per week and five hours a day.
