To secure employment in today’s job market you need up-to-date business skills. In order to enter the workforce or change careers you must have a solid foundation in administrative skills. This diploma program has been designed to provide you with entry level skills in preparation for today’s office administration. Graduates will be able to provide office support in the areas of information processing, report writing and presentations, software support training and electronic file management.

Objectives

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and grow your business acumen
  • Advanced software skills including: spreadsheets, databases, presentations and electronic mail
  • Improve business relations with a focus in team building, networking and project management
  • Computerized Accounting Systems: payroll, inventory, financial statements, Simply Accounting and QuickBooks

  • Internet Concepts

2. Core Courses

  • Microsoft Word

  • MS Outlook-Patient Scheduling
  • MS Publisher
  • Simply Accounting
  • QuickBooks

3. Personal Improvement Courses

  • Meeting Work Objectives
  • Workplace Interaction
  • Job Preparation
  • Building Teamwork Skills
  • Project Management

Grading System and Certification

Students will be required to obtain a score of at least 70% in each subject with an overall average of 75% in order to graduate.

After successful completion of the program, a Diploma certified from Windsor Career College will be granted.

This program is approved as a vocational program under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Duration and Schedule

This program is covered in seven months (27 weeks) based on twenty hours per week and four hours a day.
